Hi, everyone! Welcome to my new site and hope you all have enjoyed the recent (summer-y) weather in the UK. I have received many requests regarding my latest fitness programmes recently. I understand that most of you would probably wonder: if I am new to gym, or even to the new world of fitness, where should I get started? Is it even necessary to have a personal trainer? The short answer is: it depends! But not so simple, let me explain these to you:
1. Motivation
This is probably the No. 1 reason why most people can(not) keep their fitness goals. Some of you have a stronger disciplines and keep yourself accountable by setting a promise. However, unfortunately most of us would not be able to do so, therefore it is important to have someone else by your side to help you. This can your family member, friend or even your partner. Who else? You could also hire a personal trainer. As a highly experienced Level 2 personal trainer and an ITEC diploma massage therapist, I am well-equipped to dealing with all your fitness questions and providing you with up-to-date nutrition tips. Having me by your side can provide the encouragement, energy and motivation you need to jump start your routine. Having me as trainer can also help you set goals, create a plan to accomplish them and celebrate the day you reach them.
2. Consistency
Do you find it difficult sticking with a program or forming a new habit? As I mentioned it above, I can hold you accountable and help you overcome all the excuses you might use to avoid your commitment to exercise. It’s a lot harder to skip the gym when you know someone is waiting for you.
3. Clarity
Fitness can be confusing. We live in an era where there is full of free information online and sometimes it can be overwhelming. There is a lot of information to sort through (Remember 'Eat this, not that...' Anyone?) Cardio before or after strength training? I can help you find credible information and provide direction on your fitness journey. Also I can help remove the guesswork so you can put all your energy towards accomplishing your goals.
4. Confidence
The gym can be intimidating. Working with me allows you to become confident with how to perform exercises, use machines and navigate the facility. After a few sessions, you will feel ready to tackle the weight room on your own. Even better, with my guide and over time, you will find that you can achieve more than you would have thought and this confidence can help you stick with your exercise program over the long term.
5. Avoid Injury
If you are new to exercise or find that some movements are painful or difficult, it's time to have me as your personal trainer so you can know the right postures and movements for these exercises.Taking the time to learn proper exercise technique can improve your results and prevent annoying injuries.

6. Individual Attention
When it comes to fitness, everyone is different. Your unique body mechanics, experience, goals, fitness level, likes and dislikes can guide your trainer in creating a plan that is specific to your needs. With a program that fits, you are more likely to maintain the habit and see results. My client groups range from experienced gym-goers to someone who decided to rejoin the gym after a long period of time, so I am confident to say there will always be a plan for you :)
7. Sport-specific Training
Do you want to run your first 5K or are you preparing for a backpacking trip? Looking to shave some strokes off your golf game? I can design a fitness program specific to your need, which will improve your performance and reduce your chance of injury during the event(s).
8. Training with Medical Conditions
Exercise is beneficial for preventing or managing many common chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. However, exercising with a medical condition requires additional precautions. A knowledgeable trainer with experience training clients with chronic conditions can design a program that ensures your safety and provides a positive exercise experience. As a qualified deep tissue massage therapist, I know where to pay attention to for your potential injuries. You will be in good hands and can worry less about these.
9. Ageing Gracefully
Our bodies change as we age. Perhaps the exercises you used to do no longer work with your body, or maybe you’ve stopped seeing results. I can help you adjust or adapt your program as you age, which will allow you to maintain functionality and strength.
10. FUN
Believe it or not, exercise can be enjoyable! As a savvy personal trainer, I can make exercise both effective and fun. Group or buddy training can be a great way to increase enjoyment, make exercise social and attain the services of personal trainer. And simply working with me can be enough to provide you with more gratification from your workouts.
